Process

- Once you have submitted the Nominations form, we’ll email you on the next steps.
- You can choose to enter for more than one category.
- In the meantime, you can book your tickets here.
All entry forms for award nominations will be pre-scored by judges. The judges will be asked to give a score for each question in the entry form.
The highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists. Judges will be looking for award nominations with clear objectives, effective implementation, and results in these categories. After discussing the highest scoring entries, judges will decide the winner of each category. The Judges’ decision is final.

Categories
Business
Person of the
Year
Awarded to a business person who is a success in every sense of the word and can also demonstrate a genuine passion for social issues, over an extended period of time. Applications should consider:
- The objectives and goals of the company should be clearly identified.
- Information about your recent work should be provided, including objectives, implementation, results and evaluation.
- Indication of leadership qualities, awards or major accomplishments, and an ability to overcome significant obstacles.
- Outline of new business wins, growth or internal/external success.
- Philanthropic activities undertaken.
Lifetime
Achievement
Award
To honour those individuals who, during their lifetimes, have made an immense contribution to their chosen field, to their community and to the country. This remarkable individual will be a clear example of an inspiration for the next generation.
- For 25 years or more, active in their chosen field, as well as more widely in the community, including achieving consistent financial or other success.
- Outstanding leadership characteristics throughout their career and have inspired and developed others to achieve similar success.
- Clear contribution to strengthening your community through voluntary service.
- Evidence of a clear ability to inspire and encourage others, fostering an environment of community service.
- Evidence of mentorship and support of others to develop in their careers, including playing an inspirational role in the development of others.
Media
Someone who has made a mark in media, whether in traditional print and broadcast or new media. Applications should consider:
- Clear evidence of strategic thinking to drive your profession further.
- Clear demonstration of creativity and innovation in your field.
- Indication of originality, organisational effectiveness, tangible outcomes and an ability to overcome obstacles.
- Status in the media fraternity as a whole.
Arts &
Culture
Someone who has made a mark in their chosen profession within theatre, cinema, art and culture. Applications should consider:
- Clear evidence of strategic thinking to drive your profession further.
- Clear demonstration of creativity and innovation in your field.
- Indication of originality, organisational effectiveness, tangible outcomes and an ability to overcome obstacles.
- Status in the arts and culture fraternity as a whole.
Community
Service
In recognition for an individual’s service to their community and wider society, over an extended period of time. Applications should consider:
- Clear contribution to strengthening your community through voluntary service.
- Evidence of a clear ability to inspire and encourage others, fostering an environment of community service.
- Indication of leadership qualities, major accomplishments and an ability to overcome obstacles.
- If relevant, outline of any funds raised over an extended period of time.
Sports
Personality
of the Year
Awarded to a sports person who is a success on and off the field. Applications should consider:
- Achievements in sports reflected on the national and international stage.
- Evidence of an excellent all-round reputation in your sport.
- Impact of sporting achievement beyond the sport.
- Status in the sporting community as a whole.
- Involvement in giving back to the community, including through charitable commitments.
Professional
of the Year
This category is for professionals, including in the field of medicine, law, education, banking, finance and others, who have scaled the heights of their profession. Applications should consider:
- Your role and responsibilities within the organisation.
- Indicate any activities, projects or initiatives that you have undertaken, taken part in or instigated, which have enhanced performance or standards.
- Evidence of tangible positive impact in their stakeholder group, such as colleagues / team members.
- Provide any details of recent accomplishments or awards.
- Philanthropical activities undertaken.
Woman of
the Year
Awarded to recognise and honour a woman who has made a significant mark in their chosen field. Applications should consider:
- Evidence of tangible positive impact in their stakeholder group, within their organisation or field.
- Indication of leadership qualities, awards or major accomplishments, and an ability to overcome significant obstacles.
- Clear commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and quality standards.
- Involvement in giving back to the community, including through charitable commitments.
- Evidence of mentorship and support of others to develop in their careers, including playing an inspirational role in the development of others.
Entrepreneur of
the Year
Awarded to an aspiring entrepreneur under 40 years of age with a proven track record of operating a successful business enterprise. Applications should consider:
- Entrepreneurial spirit, desire to succeed, evidence of risk-taking and perseverance.
- Evidence of building a culture of innovation around you.
- Evidence of new approaches or technologies in business.
- Increase in market share by expanding into newer markets.
